lyrics

Wake up in the morning,
And dressed to go to school
Work on math and reading, feeling kind of cool
Then I see my Momma and my Momma tells my Dad
“You better get moving if you want to be rad”
So I rush out of the door with my coat in my hand
Wondering what it’s like to write a song for a band

So I walk into the class, and after I sit down
We get ready for a field trip, and we drive all thru the town
Then we head out, to a country farm
Learn to make candles and split wood in the barn
There’s no horses and there’s no cows
What kind of farm are we on?

And then we see a kitten, and I shared my lunch with it
Making up a name, I think I’ll call it Spirit, Spirit?!?
Then it’s time to go home , and make some yummy food
Then give it the Kitty And she thinks it’s really good
There are some days that are really neat
Like when I think that Kitty can speak

Then I take a shower, and then I brush my teeth
I lay down in my bed my day is now complete
Say goodnight to Momma, say goodnight to Dad
Say goodnight to Spirit, I’m feeling pretty rad
Wake up in the morning,
And dressed to go to school
Work on math and reading, feeling kind of cool
